Achieving Efficient Adenovirus Upstream Production

Adeno VirusAdenovirus is one of the most frequently used viral vectors in the development of therapeutic vaccines and vaccines against infectious diseases. Adenovirus has also been explored as a viral vector for gene therapy and as an oncolytic virus. This application note describes the production of adenovirus in HEK293 suspension cells in a bioreactor system. Triplicate cultures demonstrate a reproducible and robust batch production of adenovirus.
