Overcome Chromatography Challenges with Fiber Adsorbents

Bioprocessing evolution highlights the desire for new purification technologies that offer greater flexibility for use—from research and early process development through large-scale commercial production. One such technology is the fiber-based Fibro chromatography, which has an open pore structure where mass transfer is governed by convective flow. This structure allows high mAb binding capacities at very short residence times. As a result, cycle times take minutes compared to the hours needed for resin-based chromatography.

In this article, Fibro chromatography technology is introduced and scalability and performance are discussed.
